The magician displays two cards, one face up, and one face down, and shows both sides of both cards. The performer then asks a spectator to name one of the cards. The named card is then placed behind the magician’s back. It is then immediately brought out from behind the performer’s back to show it has changed into the other card! The performer then shows the other card has changed into the card the magician had placed behind his back! This is a simple, yet powerful transposition or translocation effect that will leave the spectators spellbound! And it only uses two cards, since you’re not playing with a full deck!
